Dancing with unpredictability

I was just reading Lorraine Cohen's blog . Her subject was "Dancing with unpredictability ".

My response to her article is today's thought for "Experience the Present":

How interesting that you mentioned this "so-called" dilemma of unpredictability today. Life is full of "bumps in the road". I often lose sight of that.... then a "bump".

I feel that life is a maze. We have a defined beginning & end, but lots of paths to get to the destination. Our choices & God's choices, create new path options every day. How we react & follow through is what determines- "our lifetime". When we welcome the "bumps", we have an easier time dealing with the interruptions. This is just my way of "visualizing" life :) -allowing me to "experience the present".

Experience true wealth daily

"Contentment Makes Poor Men Rich, Discontent Makes Rich Men Poor" - Benjamin Franklin

This is such a truism. I would bet that you have known many people who are very wealthy financially, but are not happy with their lives. With all of their money and material things. these "poor souls" are still not happy nor content with life.

Having lots of money is not the only thing that creates abundant wealth and success. A truly wealthy, full life is really about;

*who you are and how you live

*if you accept and love yourself and others in your life

* if you serve the world & people you care about

*if you have gratitude for what you have.

When you realize & internalize these items you possess REAL wealth and success in life. Love yourself first. Then love others. Don't be so judgmental of yourself nor your friends. This allows you to be in the highest place possible to be of service to others, whether you're being paid or not.

Feel free to comment & share your "real riches". Sharing helps spread the "real wealth" :)

6 Reasons We Love Kids

Here's a chuckle for your day....

6 REASONS WE LOVE KIDS

1) NUDITY
I was driving with my three young children one
warm summer evening when a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up
and waved. She was stark naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard
my 5-year-old shout from the back seat, 'Mom, that lady isn't wearing a
seat belt!'

2) OPINIONS
On the first day of school, a first-grader handed
his teacher a note from his mother. The note read, 'The opinions
expressed by this child are not necessarily those of his parents.'

3) KETCHUP
A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup out of
the jar. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old
daughter to answer the phone. 'Mommy can't come to the phone t o talk to
you right now. She's hitting the bottle.'

4) MORE NUDITY
A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found
himself in the women's locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst
into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover. The
little boy watched in amazement and then asked, 'What's the matter,
haven't you ever seen a little boy before?'

5) POLICE # 1
While taking a routine vandalism report at an
elementary school, I was interrupted by a little girl about 6 years old.
Looking up and down at my uniform, she asked, 'Are you a cop?' 'Yes,' I
answered and continued writing the report. My mother said if I ever
needed help I should ask the police. Is that right?' 'Yes, that's
right,' I told her. 'Well, then,' she said as she extended her foot
toward me, 'would you please tie my shoe?'

6) POLICE # 2
It was the end of the day when I parked my police
van in front of the station. As I gathered my equipment, my K-9 partner,
Jake, was barking, and I saw a little boy staring in at me. 'Is that a
dog you got back there?' he asked. 'It sure is,' I replied. Puzzled,
the boy looked at me and then towards the back of the van. Finally he
said, 'What'd he do?'

"Beauty Tips" for a Real Woman

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her "beauty tips." It was read at her funeral years later.

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

If you share this with another woman, something good will happen .. you will boost another woman's self esteem, and she will know that you care about her."

Feel free to pass this on to a woman YOU care about...

It could be her ""Perfect Present ! !

Personalized Purse Hookers...Cool & Clean !

Food for thought... HANDBAGS - KEEP them CLEAN & KEEP your family HEALTHIER...

Have you ever noticed women who set their handbags on public toilet floors, then go directly to their dining tables and set it on the table?

It happens a lot! It's not always the 'restaurant food' that causes stomach distress. Sometimes "what you don't know will hurt you"!

Read on...

Did your Mom get upset when guests came in the door and plopped their handbags down on the counter where she was cooking or setting up food? She may have said that handbags are really dirty, because of where they have been. She was right ! It's something just about every woman carries with her.

While we may know what's inside our handbags, do you have any idea what's on the outside?
Women carry handbags everywhere; from the office to public toilets to the floor of the car. Most women won't be caught without their handbags, but did you ever stop to think about where your handbag goes during the day?

"I drive my kids to & from school & run errands all day, so my handbag has been on the floor of my car a lot," says one woman. "I put my handbag in grocery shopping carts and have put it on the floor of a public toilet, (if the door hook is broken or I am in a hurry), admits another harried Mom.

One group decided to find out if handbags harbor a lot of bacteria.

Nelson Laboratories in Salt Lake, set out to test the average woman's handbag. Most women told them they didn't stop to think about what was on the bottom of their handbag. Some said, at home, they usually set their handbags on top of kitchen tables and counters where food is prepared. Many ladies told them they wouldn't be surprised if their handbags were at least a little bit dirty. It turns out handbags were so surprisingly dirty, even the microbiologist who tested them was shocked…

Microbiologist Amy Karen of Nelson Labs said:

“Nearly all of the handbags tested were not only high in bacteria, but high in harmful kinds of bacteria. Pseudomonas can cause eye infections, staphylococcus aurous can cause serious skin infections, and salmonella and e-coli found on the handbags could make people very sick. In one sampling, four of five handbags tested positive for salmonella.
(Leather or vinyl handbags tended to be cleaner than cloth handbags,
and lifestyle seemed to play a role)."

"People with kids tended to have dirtier handbags than those without, with one exception. The handbag of one single woman who frequented nightclubs had one of the worst contaminations of all ," says Amy.

So the moral of this story is that your handbag won't kill you, but it does have the potential to make you very sick if you keep it on places where you eat. USE PURSE HOOKS to hang your handbag at home and in toilets, and don't put your bag on your desk, a restaurant table, or on your kitchen countertop. Experts say you should think of your handbag the same way you would a pair of shoes... Would you think about putting a pair of shoes onto your countertops? I doubt it.

Yet, that's the same thing that you're doing when you put your handbag on the countertops.
Your handbag has gone where individuals before you have sneezed, coughed, etc! Do you really want to bring that home with you?

The microbiologists at Nelson said cleaning a handbag will help. Wash your cloth handbags and use leather cleaner to clean the bottom of leather handbags.
